Who's Making a Difference?
Students and educators, your outstanding service in the community and classroom deserves recognition and support. CAP COM grants the $1,000 Making a Difference Awards to six students and three teachers each year.
Making a Difference Awards: $1,000 each
This award recognizes students and teachers who are devoted to helping others. Do you know a student whose phenomenal service to others is changing lives for the better? Is there a teacher whose boundless excitement for learning and community service merits special recognition? Tell us how they are making a difference.
You can nominate a student or teacher for the Making a Difference Award and tell us about their efforts. CAP COM grants awards for exceptional service to:
This $1,000 award is granted to six community-minded, middle or high school students – plus $100 to a charity of their choice.
The $1,000 award goes to three teachers to support a classroom initiative – plus $100 to a charity of their choice.
Eligibility: Students between the age of 13-18 and individuals in the field of education can be nominated for this award.
Selection of winners: The CAP COM judging committee is reviewing applications and essays. Winners will be notified by June 15.
* Nominations must be received by May 15, 2020. Winners of a Making a Difference award granted by the CAP COM Cares Foundation within the past two years are not eligible. CAP COM and subsidiary employees, volunteers, and their families are not eligible.
