CAP COM Annual Meeting
You are invited to attend our 2019 Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 14 at 8:30 a.m. The event will be held at the CAP COM Financial Center.
Since its inception in 1953, CAP COM has grown to more than 140,000 members and $1.7 billion in assets.
At the Annual Meeting, we will review 2018 achievements, conduct the election for three open seats on the Board of Directors and look ahead to 2019.

Annual Meeting Elections
Elections1 for open seats on the Credit Union Board of Directors will be held at the meeting. The Nominating Committee has nominated the following candidates for the open terms.
Paula Stopera joined CAP COM in 1980 and was promoted through the organization to become President/CEO in 2004. She will retire from that position in May 2019. Paula is Treasurer of the CAP COM Board of Directors and serves on the CAP COM Group Board of Managers, governing the credit union’s subsidiaries. With a passion for helping those in need, Paula was instrumental in creating the CAP COM Cares Foundation. She recently served as Chair for the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce. In October 2017, she began her term serving on the Advisory Council to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
James Thomas retired from Verizon in 2003 after 32 years of service. He is currently self-employed as an Enrolled Agent and is the Assistant Cross Country Coach for the College of Saint Rose. He has volunteered his time for many CAP COM committees, and served as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee, Asset Liability Committee, Investment Committee, and CAP COM Financial Services Board of Managers.
Dan Johnson has been a member of the Credit Union since 1967. He has served on the CAP COM Board of Directors since March 1993 and is currently Secretary of the Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee. Retired from Verizon in 2000 after 37 years of service, Dan has served on the Supervisory Committee along with numerous other committees for CAP COM. He was a longtime board member for the New York State Telephone Credit Union Association.
