Merger Name Announcement

From Christopher McKenna

I hope you’re having a nice summer as the beautiful days fly by so quickly. I’m reaching out with a few important updates about activities that debut August 1 related to the CAP COM and SEFCU merger.

Now that the merger has been approved, our teams are working together to integrate the systems of both credit unions. This process will continue over the next several months, so please continue banking as usual.

You may be curious about the name of the combined credit union, and today I’m delighted to share it with you!

Starting August 1, 2022, CAP COM and SEFCU will begin operating as divisions of Broadview Federal Credit Union – and this will be our name once operations are merged. Soon, you’ll start seeing the Broadview name on printed materials and across electronic channels.

Also beginning August 1 (but not before), you can conduct basic transactions at branches of both credit unions. That includes making deposits, loan payments, and account inquiries; withdrawing money, taking loan advances, transferring funds between credit union accounts; and reviewing a history of account transactions or getting a printout by date.

Broadview Federal Credit Union will be led by an experienced management team drawn from both credit unions. Beginning August 1, Michael Castellana will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer and I will continue serving as President.

Michael and I have forged a close working relationship over the past year, and I’ve found him to be a visionary thinker and compassionate leader. Partnering with Michael to bring the best of both credit unions together has reinforced how well our beliefs align. Both of us recognize the immense potential to be a greater force for good in the lives of those we serve. I look forward to working with Michael and every talented employee to build Broadview on the solid foundation of two longstanding credit unions.

As we have more news to share, we will be sure to let you know. For the latest information, please visit www.capcomfcu.org/united.

Sincerely,

Christopher McKenna
