The CAP COM Cares Foundation is proud to partner with The Wesley Community and provide them with a $10,000 donation that will help them complete a renovation project to an assisted living building in Saratoga Springs. This renovation will help the Wesley continue to provide individualized and comforting care for their residents in a contemporary, home-like environment.
In February, more than a dozen of our newest employees volunteered at The Wesley Community as part of CAP COM’s New Employee Orientation.
We spent the morning getting to know some of their residents and participated in an activity with them, writing letters to individuals to show their appreciation. Many of the residents wrote to the nurses who care for them, while others wrote to our active military personnel. Our volunteers joined in on this act of kindness and wrote their own letters, too.
We joined another group of residents for a game of trivia. We had a blast chatting with them and doing our best to answer questions about the ‘50s, ‘60s & ‘70s.
This partnership is just one of many that is made possible by the BIG Benefit Raffle and our other fundraisers.
