Fraudulent Texts Reported in the Capital Region

Members have reported receiving fraudulent texts that contain a message about your card being blocked. The text claims to be from Chase and says to call in order to unblock your card. Members are asked to call a toll-free phone number that is not associated with CAP COM.
This fraud affects a larger audience than CAP COM members and does not appear to have compromised any of your personal information. Please know that CAP COM would not notify you via text about your debit or credit card being blocked.
