We nurture our community by supporting large and small local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of families in New York’s Capital Region.

Health & Wellness

We partner with local organizations to promote wellness, including American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, St. Peter’s Health Partners and others.



We encourage and support young adults who are pursuing their goals of higher education by funding more than 30 scholarships for deserving students each year.

Financial Literacy

Financial Literacy

We believe financial literacy is a critical life skill and we deliver educational programs to children and young adults through local schools and organizations.



We help level the playing field for hundreds of children each year through our winter coat and school backpack initiatives and by supporting agencies focused on children’s issues.



We provide tangible support to families in need through numerous special programs and partnerships with organizations like the South Colonie iCare Food Pantry, Twill and others.

As President/CEO of CAP COM, Chris is devoted to the cause of community service as an enthusiastic leader and volunteer. Enhancing lives throughout the Capital District is a natural fit with CAP COM’s emphasis on meaningful human interactions.

Paula was instrumental in forming the CAP COM Cares Foundation in 2003. The hallmark of her 39-year career, including her longstanding tenure as President/CEO, has been reaching out to those in need and making giving personal.

Dave has served as CAP COM's Chief Financial Officer since 2000.

Sharon’s most recent role during her long tenure at CAP COM was Vice President of Organizational Development.

Paige is CAP COM’s Community and Youth Advocate.

Marty serves on the Credit Union Board of Managers and the Supervisory Committee.
