CAP COM rewards talented young members and incredible educators annually.
Talented young members and the incredible educators who guide their quest for knowledge make our world a better place. CAP COM proudly celebrates our community’s best and brightest by awarding more than 30 scholarships annually.
Legacy Scholarships
Value: $2,500 each
Quantity: 20 scholarships
Eligibility: CAP COM members who are high school seniors or college students through age 25 pursuing an undergraduate degree.1
Honoring: Paula A. Stopera for her contributions as CAP COM’s longtime President/CEO; Weidner “Ed” Davis, a founding father of CAP COM; and Ed Gilligan, a former CAP COM Board President.


Technology Scholarships
Value: $2,500 each
Quantity: 1 scholarship
Eligibility: CAP COM members who are high school seniors or college students through age 25 pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science or information technology.1
Honoring: Former CAP COM board member Art Goedeke for his enthusiasm for computers and technology.
Reinvestment Into Learning Scholarships
Value: $2,500 each
Quantity: 4 scholarships
Eligibility: Eligibility: CAP COM members age 26 or older who are pursuing an undergraduate degree.1
Notable: This new scholarship is designed for people returning to school after some time away from high school or college.


Trade Scholarships
Value: $2,500 each
Quantity: 4 scholarships
Eligibility: CAP COM members who are high school seniors or students through age 25 planning to attend or attending a trade school.1
Honoring: Tony Celeste, who valued skilled trades performed by people with a strong work ethic.
Making a Difference Awards
Value: $1,000 each plus $100 to a charity of the winner's choice
Quantity: 6 awards for students; 3 awards for teachers
Eligibility: Students between the age of 13-18 and individuals in the field of education can be nominated.1
Notable: This award recognizes students and teachers who are devoted to helping others. Nominate a student or teacher and tell us how they are making a difference.
